Documents to be carried	Aircraft Docs (SAO.GEN.155) Pilot Docs (SFCL.045) Extract from BGA SFCL FAQS    How do we interpret SFCL.045(d)(2), i.e. what is the ‘distance determined by the CAA’ for not carrying the documents?    CAA – ‘official policy for both SAO.GEN.155(d) and SFCL.045(d)(2) is within the London/Scottish FIRs (which encompasses the entire UK).’ The key points, in both of these, are: The pilot MUST have with them: Valid SPL (not copy) Valid Medical (not copy) Sufficient logbook data to demonstrate currency Photo ID e.g.: Passport, Driving Licence, Aircrew Card (incl. IAOPA) If remaining within sight of the airfield, or within the London/Scottish FIRs, then the documents can remain on the aerodrome The reason given, for not accepting copies of the Licence and Medical, is: "It is possible the licence/medical has been cancelled/suspended/withdrawn" (I'm afraid I can't find a reference for this ... but, also, I cannot find anything to say copies are acceptable)
Logs	Journey Log (AMC1 SAO.GEN.160) Pilot Log (AMC1 SFCL.050) NOTES: AMC1 SAO.GEN.160(a)(12) indicates P1 needs to sign the "Journey Log" It is a little unclear, in the club gliding environment, what constitutes the "Journey Log" (The "Launch Point Log" would equate to the "Movement Log" in the power world)
